Hurricane Sandy has left damage in its wake but that damage shouldn’t extend to your ability to do your best on the GMAT exam by having ample and productive opportunities to prepare for the exam.
We recognize that many people preparing to take the exam over the next couple of months are dealing with power outages, damage to or even the loss of homes, closures to schools, libraries or prep facilities. We recognize that many people have had to suspend their preparation in order to deal with the effects of the storm on their lives or the lives of friends, loved ones or their community.
To help people move forward and to better enable them do their best on the GMAT exam, the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC) -- as it has done in response to other disasters similar to this -- will waive its rescheduling fee for anyone scheduled to take the exam in an area impacted by Hurricane Sandy. In addition, GMAC will consider waiving the rescheduling fee people such as first responders whose work load in this emergency may have impacted their ability to prepare for the exam. These opportunities to reschedule will run through the end of 2012.
